You have both vulnerable and baldness-resistant hair follicles in your scalp.
FUE is a surgical technique that moves individual hair follicles from a part of the scalp we call the “donor site” to bald or balding part of the body known as the “recipient site”. Grafts containing hair follicles that are taken from those areas genetically resistant to balding are transplanted to the bald scalp by the very latest minimally-invasive technique, Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE).
We transfer these baldness-resistant hair follicles to your balding areas, resulting in fuller hair.
There are 3 important considerations in hair transplantation:
• Number of grafts needed
• Density of transplant
• Angle of your hair follicles
The Number of Grafts
The number of grafts is especially important – simply put, you get a better result with more grafts.
Because the volume of grafts is so important to the finished result, we offer unlimited grafts – meaning that you will not get any unexpected surprises from the costs!
However it is really important be careful during obtaining the hair follicles. If your hair transplant is performed by a mediocre surgeon, using an improper technique or wrong equipment, the donor area can easily be permanently damaged.
This means that in addition to your hair transplant NOT giving you the results you hoped for – but also that any future treatment will be more challenging, since your donor-area will be compromised.
The density is another important step in hair transplantation since the denser your transplant, the fuller look you will get.
However transplanting the hair follicles too densely can result in disturbance of the circulation yielding unsuccessful success rate in the hair transplantation.
(This is one more reason why you can’t afford to entrust your hair transplant to a lesser hair transplant surgeon.)
The Angle of Transplanted Hair Follicles
The angles of the transplanted hairs are the most important step in achieving a natural look.
The angle of the hair follicles is different in every part of the scalp. To achieve a truly natural result it is really important to place the hair follicles in a proper angle. Since these angles are different in every patient it is essential to have the hair transplantation in the hands of a well experienced surgeon.
If you take a look at our “Before-and-After” photos, you’ll see just how effective and natural-looking a FUE hair transplant can be in the hands of a truly talented and experienced surgeon.
